Kalamazoo - Reynolds is a UK-based provider of IT skills and services. The company has been at the forefront of the computer industry since the 1960s and has provided comprehensive hardware maintenance and surround services for over thirty years.
We’re part of the USA-based Reynolds and Reynolds group, the world’s leading provider of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and services to the retail motor industry.
In total, the group employs over 6000 staff worldwide and has operations throughout Europe, Canada and Mexico in addition to those in the UK and United States. |
Kalamazoo began in 1896 when Oliver Moreland and Francis Impey formed a printing company. In 1904, Moreland saw a revolutionary new form of loose-leaf binder in Kalamazoo, Michigan, brought the idea back to the UK and named the company after the town.
By the early 1960s, Kalamazoo expanded and formed a computer bureau handling customer accounts for Ford UK. Kalamazoo began developing its own software designed exclusively for the retail motor trade.
In 1970 Universal Computer Systems (UCS) from Houston, Texas began life as a regional data processing service bureau providing local dealerships with weekly reports of their parts inventory.
During the 1980s, UCS began supplying computer hardware, software, forms, software support, and hardware maintenance to customers in the USA. In 2001, Kalamazoo was acquired by UCS. In 2006, following the merger of UCS and Reynolds and Reynolds, Kalamazoo-UCS became Kalamazoo - Reynolds.
And today? We’re now the biggest Dealer Management System manufacturer in the world, and can offer a wide range of IT services to our customers. |
