Reynolds and Reynolds' X Model Application Servers take our already high reliability standards to new extremes. X Model Servers have dual power supplies. If one power supply is disabled, the other takes over, without interrupting the server performance, making the transition a seamless process. At the same time, Reynolds and Reynolds is automatically notified by the X Model Server of the power supply issue.
As with other Reynolds and Reynolds servers, the X Model Server has an extensive data recovery system. If a disk drive on your X Model malfunctions, your employees are not likely to notice because the RAID features a mirrored drive to take over for the failed drive.
System backups are copied to an internal disk drive in the tape sub-system designated specifically for backups. These backups can be made at any time, without impacting the processing capabilities of the rest of the system.
