Graduate Applications Programmer
Entry Level
Vacancies exist for highly skilled Applications Programmers to join our current team.
Salary: £18,000 to £26,000 Dependent on skill set.
Job Purpose: As a Programmer, you will design, develop and test software modules to enhance and amend the functionality of our dealer management applications. You will diagnose, fix and test any faults to ensure these systems operate correctly.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the ongoing development and support of our software products
- Coding, testing and documenting within departmental standards
- Participating in the quality control activities undertaken in the team
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Project oriented, focused on quality and delivery
- Ability to research problems and recommend solutions
- Detail oriented, organised
- Self reliant, self-starter
- Flexibility of working hours to meet support requirements may be required
- Experience of business applications is desirable
- Experience of Microfocus, Microfocus Dialog and/or NetExpress ,IQ, SCO Unix, AIX an advantage
- Experience of COBOL preferred but not required (training is provided)
